He came to a halt and sat before her, not far from where she sat but far enough that she was not completely cornered. His voice held no trace of a lie, and his eyes shone nothing but the truth, well they did not 'shine' but she understood herself and so thus little else mattered...
He spoke 'dear' one of a numbre of words that struck her ears and yet only that one held her attention. He wished to 'study' her, what for, why bother for they would not spend long in the others company...
His tail wagged but her guard did not drop, though she did allow her apperance to appear less threatning. Once more he spoke, and her ears pressed forward to catch each word.
"My being here holds no meaning for you, and so thus that question won't be answered. Why do you care so much for what i'm doing or why i'm here. I am just another wolf that you will be lucky, or unlucky to meet again in the future. Thats how it always is..."

"No meaning? Sure it holds meaning. I'm speaking to you, so it now begins to hold meaning." His maw broke into a smile. She was defiant. He enjoyed that in a 'companion' of sorts. His ears turned with the wind as he listened to their surroundings. "I believe we may in fact meet again, dear. I'm a hard one to lose," he spoke honestly. Perhaps he would follow her around some. Why not? It would be interesting to study her some more. She was a unique female. Not at all feminine. He turned away from her to scratch his ear.

No, not an invitation but she spoke with honesty, why would a male want to know her when all males in her past had done was come out to harm or rape her. No it would take him a large ammount of time to gain her trust, let alone have her happy with him following her around...
"The only way we will meet again is if you choose to find me, I won't come looking for you, I have no reason to..."
Again, she was not offering him a chance to follow her around, or look for her in the future, but rather speaking with nothing more than an honest tone, she would not go looking for a male, not unless he deserved her visit and either had her trust or her hate. Unmoving she watched the male, her back to the tree she had been sitting infront of ever since he got here.... |
