It was boring, the weather meant that any prey animals would run and hide only venturing out early morning and mid afternoon, why would none come out during the cover of night when hunting was always great fun...
The huge form of a male Heevalne slowly walked through the snow covered forest, the trees naked without there leaves, very few birds would twitter at him of fly away from him. His pelt shone it's true colors as he walked on through the snow, the morning was early but the sun shone it's brightest catching him in it's grasp...
Deloth cad very little care for the fact that the forest was almost empty, in fact he liked that, it would have been much better if he had a young lady at his side but oh well, that would come with time. Or not. But he could dream right?
Something moved ahead, the shrill cry of a rabbit as a stoat broke it's neck rang trhoughout the forest not far from where he was, aha an easy meal. Trotting forward and stealing the stoats meal with little arguement Deloth ended up with a small rabbit for his breakfast, well something is betetr than nothing. Sitting down he quickly started to eat the small meal...

four year old luzion female

[/blockquote] Her slender form would have melded with the snowy landscape if it were not for the dark shade of her coat and the great wings that were folded at her sides. Sometimes she did wish she was white and that her wings were feathered like the birds that flew all around the world but if she was color white then that would mean the she would have been born in the Lumina… Isendra shook her head in distaste, she adored her old pack even if the thought of them brought forth so many memories of pain and she would never have considered being born with those white fools. Maybe her choice was wrong, maybe she shouldn’t have left but what was done was done as she made her way past this strange forest.
The forest seemed so eerie, so menacing is the grasp of night compared to how cheerful and bright it seemed during the light of day but she knew there was nothing to fear as the dark always held something familiar, something good. The cruel looking shadows of the trees seemed to reach forward with their hooked branches as if preparing to clasp some unprepared creature into its grasp and end its life. Her wings drew closer to her body, she was a ‘Luzion’ as the natives in this land called her and for another time she cursed the way her wings were. She wished they were feathered instead of thin skin as it would surely be more of aid in this wintry weather compared to the numb burden she could hardly call wings.
She didn’t know how long she just stood there watching and thinking but as the sudden cry of a bird as it flew into the sky brought her to her senses; it was already the morn of the next day. Isendra snorted and chided herself before stalking forward, wing unfurling when they could before returning to their former position as she moved forward in search of something to sink her teeth on. She needed food to fuel herself and give her some sort of boost otherwise she would turn into this frozen icicle as she was unused to running about without a pack in tow. The earth brought her a gift as a small young rabbit, too young she noted, ran straight into her paws and into her eager jaws. Where its mother was she could careless as she trotted forward with her tail wagging slightly.
The sight of another in the forest piqued her curiosity and she moved closer with the young creature in her maw, the male was massive compared to her and her wings quivered as the thought of those jaws biting through them and the pain… No, he could be different, he might be a gentleman and here she was thinking about him attacking her. Isendra decided that speaking to him would be the best thing to do and she strode forward before the scent of blood made her nose twitch ever so slightly but a little companionship was not bad at all.
Dropping the small rabbit down at her paws, she looked at him curiously before speaking in her customary soft and melodic voice. “Hello there good sir, a lucky morn we both have for catching a meal.” She had been taught to be polite towards those whose intentions were unknown as it was hard to quarrel against someone who stuck to their manners but things were different with this odd land she had wandered in. She crouched down, one wing stretching slightly before furling back to its place and she warily begun eating. She needed to be prepared just in case he wanted to cause harm to her and she kept one azure eye on him as she tore into the young rabbit or kitten as she heard elders in her old pack call them. Life was sometimes kind and sometimes it wasn’t.

The meal, small and almost pointless, but the taste of a fresh kill and the small ammount of energy it gave left him a sense of satisfaction, it would do untill the slightly larger animals dare leave there little dens and such to try and fine themselves a small meal, that is when he would find himself something better to eat, something that would keep him going for the rest of the day and deep into the night when he would likley hunt again...
Someone was coming, her delicate paws (or at least delicate to him) broke the surface of the snow with almost silent 'crunches' that was a sound he liked, it reminded him of the dull sound of a bone as it broke. She moved slowly and cautisouly perhaps, was he so scary, that forced an inward laugh, or at least he forced that it become an inward laugh, other wise he would have sared away the pretty little female that apporached...
She was very pretty in the eyes of this beast, her wings perhaps a curse, perhaps seen ugly in anothers eyes but to him they added to her natural beauty, the sun bounced off of his blue-black pelt the blue and red showing firecly beneath the sun, yes compared to her he was plain, he had shades that were different to others, and his face was masked with that dark blood red. But that was all, and yet he cared so little about this...
Once more he forced an inward chuckle as a pose to laughing at the female, he had not caught this meal, no that young stoat had, he just took it and ate it uncaring if the stoat later would die through starvation. The rabbit was his, and now it was gone, so none would change the fact that he ate it, the stoat was simply too slow to keep it's meal from the jaws of the huge brute...
She spoke words like one would sing a song, and yet her voice quickly lost his attention, or perhaps that was just because she was speaking to him, but he did not show his boredom to her words, for her 'beauty' held his attention with ease. He watched her eat while considering what he would say to her...
"Hmm....."
Was all eh said in turn to what she had said about catching a good meal during the morning, her hated the morning, it showed his normally hidden colors, even if they were difficult to see even in this light, looking twice you would see the dark black-blue and the slightly lighter blood red that masked his face, ran down his spine and formed a V at his chest, oh well, he didn't really care...
"Whats your name?" |
His deep voice, rough, raspy, it easily suited his size and personality. And yet even if he could be considered a threat, his voice and actions at this time showed no hostility, rather he was peacefull, or at least for now...[/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/blockquote] She shifted slightly and her wings twitched as they brushed the snowy ground, it was different for her of course after all she could feel the freezing ice and it made her wing go numb a little. She wondered whether her wings were a curse or it was something more, she was idolized and almost worshiped in her pack but with all the other Luzions, as they call themselves, she was something horrible as most had wings of birds that came in many colors. If this male thought she was ugly then she didn’t care as she could not please everyone and her looks were something she could not change although she was tempted with those wings filled with feathers.
She felt queasy as the stranger’s eyes flicked to her wings, what was he thinking of? Did she irritate him by her mere appearance or was there something more…? Isendra snorted inwardly, she had to stop thinking so badly about others after all there had to be some good in them no matter how cruel they say they were. But it would be difficult as she was used to only seeing by color but this brute’s dark shades comforted her just by a margin. No, she had to look beyond that and prosper otherwise she would be left with the prejudices and teachings of her land. It would be easy to follow that road but it would warrant her hatred, hate that she did not need in this foreign land as she was not used to the customs and what not.
The young rabbit tasted delicious in her maw, small strips of dripping meat gave her energy and she felt that the morning wasn’t as bad as she first thought it was. It was a time since she ate a creature larger than rabbit and she sorely missed the meat of some fine deer. She licked the blood of her jaws and watched the other wolf curiously, he was larger than most wolves and she wondered if he was from one of the strange species in this land. It was strange to hear all the strange words like Luzion or Tusrelle but she somehow understood what the strangers around her tried to convey although it wasn’t as comfortable to hearing terms that she was used to.
The sudden ‘hmm’ from the male jolted her from the thoughts in her mind and she watched the male curiously. He was physically something to behold and she felt insignificant when compared to him and his colors were something to take note on. There were some things that attracted her interest and this was one of them, why was he so strangely colored? Her land had the wolves appear only with four or five colors that were beyond black or white as maximum but here was a brute who wasn’t even black! The word beyond her home truly was a curious thing except she didn’t understand somethings of course.
"Whats your name?"
She was slightly startled at the question and one of her wings unfurled unconsciously before closing to her side again, it was a question that was expected of course and she replied softly but she ntoed that his voice was interesting and different fromt he smooth tones she was used to hearing. “I am Isendra, Isendra Windsayer and may I have the pleasure of your name sir?” Last names were only for the special few in her land but maybe for this place it was different, maybe anyone could have those kinds of names. Her eyes darted about and she smoothly changed from the crouch she was at as she ate into a sit. She didn’t know why she cocked her head to the side and watched him curiously as she did but the world around her just begged her to do so and she complied.

Well she was most certainly the strangest thing he had ever seen, but in it's own pretty little way it was fun, it gave him something to do, something to look at or at least for now it did, if she becomes unable to entertain him and decides to stick around, well he will simply be forced to entertain himself. And for the other it dosn't always give the best of a time, no rather they usually wish they had never met him, but oh well, war will come when given that glorious thing called time...
His tail unmoving, as was his body for he really at this time had no reason to even consider moving, even sitting he was forced to look down at the pretty female. Her wings always seemed to want to move, and yet half of the time it didn't suprise her, why did they always move, were they there to look pretty or did they actually have a use, or so it currently appeared they had a mind of there own, which at times is an intresting thing. How funny could it be if her wings with no warning began to beat and try to take her away from here, and yet he knew better than that, that was something near impossible, and yet apparently so was a wolf who liked pain. Or at the very least accepted it....
Dark ears turned to face the female after for a long time being layed back listning to surrounding happenings. His tail gave a small beat against the snowy earth and eventually his ears caught the sound of a bell like voice, smooth and gentle compared to what his could be considered, she had really caught him at a bad time and so his gentleman apperance was not up, so his voice was much less carefull. Loking at the fae, dark eyes taking in her apperance, build and even the pale shade of her eyes.
Isendra Windsayer
Hm, well it wasn't all that strange a name to be fair, or at least to him it was something perfectly normal, two names, he in his time had come across a fae with three names. Well the question was quick to return to him and so thus an answer was near demanded of him. Yes speak now dear Demon, no-one will notice the meaning your name holds, nor will they understand why it suits you so very well...
"Hm... Isendra Windsayer."
He mused to himself, even if he already had taken in the name, it would not beone easy to forget but if he really wanted to she would be forgotten by the time they parted, if they parted that is...
"Most know me as Deloth, Deloth Rauko. But there is no pleasure behind knowing my name..." |
Yes he could be considered a riddle, and yet it would be easy to understand everything about him by simply understanding the meaning of his name, or perhaps understanding his personality, his ever changing personality. Yes something that often scare away many, and yet to him, it was little more than intresting company. That's it, trust the demon, and accept the fate he offers you. Give the fate he offers others...[/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/blockquote] She could not help but wonder, who is this beast? This dark brutish male that was coincidentally there, was it fate or destiny? Was she doomed to suffer a horrid life or to live with everlasting friendship with this being? So many questions left unanswered but she would not let this hinder her in questioning on who this strange being was but instead fuel her curiosity about him. She shifted unconsciously to her right, she favored that side for some odd reason but it could be because her wing was slightly stronger in that side. Isendra could never imagine a life without her wings to aid her in flight and hunt so it always made her curious how it was to live life on the ground as a…groundwalker.
An answer to her question…she had met most stubborn wolves before who refused to give their name and for what reason, she did not know and did not care in particular. Honestly she wanted a name but if her companion did not want to give one then very well for it was not in her place to force something out. A name. Was it so difficult to supply? Was it so embarrassing to give out? For her it was her pride for she was Isendra Windsayer from the House of the Dragon, royalty to the eyes of the Umbra pack but then it was nothing here in this odd land. She was nothing and she admitted she hated that feeling as it made her feel so useless which the mere thought of it made her feel ill.
"Hm... Isendra Windsayer."
She cocked her head to the side as he spoke her name; it was odd to come so casually from the mouth of another for she was so used to hear respect and reverence as she was one of the most influential and dangerous of her pack. She had wondered what Isendra meant for quite a while and the answer she knew was that it was written in the runes about a heroine called Isendra but the odd thing was that the heroine lost and was… She rather not think about the fate of the supposed savior and she turned her attention back to this mystery wolf. She noticed something though, the way he said it seemed so different since he had an accent that was most probably from the wolves who were born here and she probably had her own.
"Most know me as Deloth, Deloth Rauko. But there is no pleasure behind knowing my name..."
And her query was answered and she said his name in turn, “Deloth Rauko, a curious name but if you do not will it then I shall not pry.” She may have seemed dismissive but there was something burning in her eyes that she had forgotten, challenge and she wanted to solve the mystery of his name, what was the meaning of this name? What was the origin of this alias? Then she murmured with just a hint of challenge, “Is this a puzzle I am meant to solve Deloth? A riddle or is this an impossible whisper that I hear?” Isendra shifted every so slightly and watched the male curiously with a hint of something in her eyes, he was curious indeed.
A laugh escaped her still melodic as her voice, “You truly are a curious strange wolf sir Deloth, curious indeed with a name which has a meaning I am unknown to and you are quite something to behold! Quite interesting I might say” her voice changed from soft and complacent to strong and she felt her whole self change back to what she once was before…he died. She was a lady yes but that did not mean she could not be a strong female as well for there was nothing worse than those who believe that female were weak little frail flowers. She was Isendra and she was a warrior, a murderer of many.
note: I'm so sorry it took so long D: I had to cope with things because I have lessons. [/blockquote]
