Each pawstep was taken carefully, planning out the path that the creature was taking through the daisies. It was strange that they grew all the time, and yet she didn't mind. They were a peaceful sign, forever flourishing. It was a thing that gave hope to her ever-faltering thoughts, so she was often found frequenting the daisies.
The creature now stopped, dark wings extending for a moment but quickly folding back to her sides. A calm breeze fell across the field, ruffling her fur gently. Sighing, she stood there, eyes wandering for as far as they could see. It was strange to not find any others here, and yet maybe they would come along eventually.
Being alone isn't that bad though, I suppose a peaceful rest could be nice. The female thought to herself, slowly laying down, ears flicking forward as she closed her eyes. She wouldn't let herself become completely unaware, being unprotected by anything, but she supposed it wouldn't hurt for just her eyes to be closed. Just for a moment, and then I'll look around again. She thought to herself, letting the small rays of sun warm her fur as she lay quietly.

Well he had started to gather himself a reputation for stealing kills from smaller animals then later watching them as they starved to death, he currently was to blame for the death fo three stoats a fox and even a bear, alright he did fight the bear to it's death but he got it's kill in the end, the deer he ate was wonderfull, especially as what he fought actually fought back...
The daisies were always so pretty stained with blood, and yet this year around none held the red taint, perhaps that would soon change? Oh she was pretty wasn't she, looking ahead he caught sight of a pretty little lady laying in the daisies, was she hurt or lost? Well no flowers held the taint he loves so dearly, so perhaps she like himself was just here for the sake of being here...
The huge males pace picked up slightly at the thought of meeting a female, his dark pelt as clean as one could keep there fur, the red mask 'dripping' off of the thick fur around his face showing clearly beneath the sun's few rays, though the blue this time, unless you are looking closely could not be seen...
"Why hello little lady. Do you fare well, or are you ingured? For I assume you know it is dangerous for one to lay so unprotected in such an open area?"
He spoke in the way a gentleman would, though his voice, deep and raspy it seemed to fit with his apperance and personality. He sat not far from where she lay, looking down at the pretty little lady....

It was peaceful, the moments alone. And yet she knew it couldn't last, if she truly wanted to rest she would have to go somewhere unseen. Just as she was about to open her eyes the scent came to her, and then the words. "Why hello little lady. Do you fare well, or are you ingured? For I assume you know it is dangerous for one to lay so unprotected in such an open area?" Had she really drifted off that far that she had been so unaware?
Sitting up, yellow eyes went to the dark male sitting not too far away, tail-tip twitching slightly, "I'm perfectly well, thank you. I was just resting... but I am aware of what you speak of. She said, rolling her shoulders in a slight shrug. If anyone were to come along while she was resting, she supposed this was alright.
"The name's Calamity, might you bless me with yours, sir?" She asked, head tilting slightly to the side. A slight hint of sarcasm was found in her voice, but it wasn't of her trying to be rude exactly, just throwing in a bit of...playfulness, if one could call it that. She knew that not every one would take kind to the way she chose to spoke, but that had never stopped her before, and she doubted it would now.
Such a calm day it seemed to be, she was beginning to wonder what brought the male to the fields. Maybe just trying to relax and enjoy the sights like she was? There was a great doubt of that in her mind, and yet the note was made to ask him later on if she got the chance. He was already quite peculiar, just sitting there. What made him come over? There were always questions to be asked and answered, those would come.

As the time in silence bore on he considered standing and nuzzling the female to see that she was alright, but graced to find the pretty lady he was even more suprrised at the beauty her face and eyes held, the amber eyes of the lady holding his attention for an extended period of time as his ears caught the words she spoke he almost answered when not long after she lay a question out before him, waiting paitently for his answer....
Eyes of a darker shade slowly took in every feauture the female had, her eyes, her muzzle even the shades of her fur the question of his name forgotten for a short time as he inspected the female, yes a pretty little lady she is. Unmoving his body, only alowing his head and ears to move, oh and perhaps allow his tail to wagg slightly against the earth, just to show that he really did mean no harm here....
"It is nice to know that you are well and unharmed"
Alright so perhaps he didn't really mean what he said about her not being hurt a good thing, but you are allowed to lie right? It's hardly a crime against nature, or is it? She spoke her name, such a pretty name, unlike his, but to understand why his name is far from nice you must understand the meaning...
"Well my dear Calamity, I can't see how knowing my name could possibly be a blessing, but I will not hide my identity from you, I am known as Deloth Rauko. But most simply call me Deloth..."
He spoke nothing but the truth, his voice never faltering from that of a gentleman, his tone telling no lies, and his posture showing no agression toward the female. But still, things can easily take a turn toward the worst and he could easily change that, and so could she...

The silence almost began to unnerve her, but she kept herself together, eyes never faltering from the male in front of her. She was curious as to what was going through his mind, what did he think of? When he finally spoke, it was not his name, but a comment about the previous statement. I doubt you actually care. She thought to herself with slight annoyance, but nothing of her outer composition changed.
Once again, there were no words spoken. Usually she enjoyed the silence, but only when she was the one being silent. She enjoyed listening to others, but this male didn't seem to be over talkative at all. Which was, in the long run, a good thing, but something about the silences they were creating bothered her. He seemed nice enough, but something told her to not trust him. This time, she would listen to her gut feeling, having learned all too well that outward gestures could be completely different from inward feelings.
His voice reached her ears once more, swiveling to catch what he said and bringing her out of her thoughts. Deloth Rauko... Such an interesting name. She had only once met someone else with two names, but she guessed that it was most common. She herself had two names, and yet she never dared speak of the second one, much less remember it half of the time.
"Well, Deloth." Calamity started, shifting her weight on her paws for a moment but never taking her eyes off of him, "What business have you here among the daisies?" It was a simple question, but under it was hidden her many suspicions of him. She had never been the best at judging one's character, but she couldn't shake the feeling that he was just out enjoying the daisies. There seemed to be something more underneath, something that she wasn't sure she even wanted to know about. Yet, it could just be her mind spinning tales to keep her on edge so she wouldn't drop her guard. Either way, it kept her curious and reluctant to even think about taking her eyes off of him. ------------------ word count: 354 for: Deloth (Amaris) notes: wooo.

Was silence always a bad thing, should it be avoided or should he continue to dwell in the peace that this silecne offered? The female certainly did not care for conversation, or was she just having a hard time coming up with something to say? Oh well, he was not here to start a converstaion, much less find one for her. She quickly borke the silence by asking yet another question, what was it with females, must they always ask questions, well at least it gave them something to break the silence both had allowed to fall....
"It's a free land, and unless you wish to pin me to one place, I happily will wander amongst the Daisies searching for something to eat next, or perhaps someone to talk to. It's clear you do not wish to talk, so I guess I have interupted something? Did you come here with reason? Or are you lone wandering?"
He had to give his question as more a riddle than anything else didn't he... Tilting his head to one side slightly he looked at or past the female, either worked for him. The wind that picked up dust blew in his face shocking him slightly at how suddenly it had struck, would a storm fall soon? He gave a look toward the sky wondering if it did promise a storm. No, just gave a threat, nothing to worry about...
The icy wind whipped at his face, bending most of the Daisies over, and as suddenly as it had come the wind had passed and the sun shone once more, though the area still was ever so slightly colder than what it was before, perhaps a storm was coming. Who knew, who cared, well he didn't...
"Do you wish that I leave, you don't appear happy that I have come...."
Not at all dossapointed, but rather curious, curiosity, a dangerous thing often got many wolves lost or killed, or both at the same time. Always funny that was, but now he had to forget how much fun loosing a young pup is only to send it's mother out looking for it days later, few sirvived. And he had to force his attention toward the small female that sat not far from him, his tail gently beating at the ground as he waited for ehr to say something. It had started to get boring here, and many a time he considered livening things up, but each time he gave himself that same answer, not yet...

Her question was asked, and very soon answered. For a second it annoyed her, taking his words personally; but she let it go as best she could, ears flicking back for a moment. "Nay sir, I was just curious as to what brought you here. And I do not... not wish to talk, you have it wrong. I enjoy listening over talking." She said simply, rolling her shoulders in a half-hearted shrug.
Calamity stayed in silence as the wind blew, muzzle turning away from it and letting it travel through her wings and fur. With it came the dirt and dust, eyes being closed momentarily to avoid anything getting in them. Curling her tail around her paws now she looked over at Deloth as it stopped and he spoke again, ears flicking forward once more.
"It is a free land, Deloth. You may come and go where you wish, I have no say in the matter." She spoke with ease now, a small smirk on her face. Though she was still unlikely to trust him, her words were finding her. "Quite the contrary, I am glad that I ran in to someone worth talking to." It wasn't the complete truth, and yet it wasn't a lie. She liked the fact that he presented things that needed to be responded to and didn't just jabber on, but there was still that feeling of oddness that he had brought with him.
The mind at war was an odd thing, and currently hers was having a fit. What to do, what to do? Part of her said to trust him, but the other part that had learned from her mistakes said absolutely not. Her mind seemed to argue with itself, causing confusion on what she should say or do, but she would not let it show. Weakness of the mind was a thing that no one should ever know, except for her. ------------------ word count: 317 c: for: Deloth (Amaris) notes: hurhur.

Well it seemed this lady was having problems holding his full intrest, for a large brid flew overhead and rather than staring at the little lady as he had done before, he watched the bird gracefully glide through the sky, only chuckling slightly when the wind threw it off course. He grew quickly bored but for now he didn't plan to leave, not yet anyway, maybe later he could leave her alone to whatever it was she was doing....
Slowly stretching out his huge body, he slowly lowered his front half to the ground, front paws crossing before him, hinds flcking out beside him giving him that extremely careless, and fearless look. She was a little lady ad right now, she showed him no immediate threat, perhaps later there could be a fight just to liven things up, but now? Well now it was her turn to speak once more, she seemed to beleive that he not only had a name that could be called a 'blessing' well that still made him laugh, his name meant Demon of Hate so far from a blessing, but well suited to him. Now she beleived that he was worth talking to....
Stranger that is what the lady is, extremely strange. The silence drew on in a long line ahead of him, well he could always leave her to go hunting, but what if she ran away while he was gone. That would be no fun, he would have to run after her to find where she ran to and then find out why she ran. No that meant far too much effort, so with a sigh he shifted his weight to lay flat out on his side, his size only now really shown while he was spread out amongst the daisies....

Sitting quietly, she watched him as he looked up, her own eyes following his view and watching the bird. Looking back down, she titled her head slightly to the side as she watched him. Making his way down on to the daises she frowned a bit, blinking in confusion. What exactly... was he doing?
Her jaw almost dropped as he stretched out, the cogs turning in her mind as she tried to figure out what was going through his mind. He had just.. lain down. Was it his way of saying he was no longer interested? Do I bore you, sir? I should just leave anyways. She thought to herself, but decided otherwise. Standing up and taking a few paces back she stared down at him, tail waving out behind her. Frowning some more, she stepped forward to where she was before, leaning on her front paws and peering down at him.
"Now... Deloth. Might I ask... what you are doing? The daisies underfoot are being quite crushed." Calamity said, sweeping a paw across the ones in front of her and then placing it back beside the other paw. "And if you plan on napping, I may just lose interest in you." She said, ears swiveling on her head. She still couldn't figure him out. He was so... odd. Usually one's motives were clear, and she knew why things happened like they did. And yet she had no idea about Deloth here.
He was, a mystery, if one would use that word to describe the dark pelted male. She wasn't sure if she should just leave, or continue to stay and try to understand him. Something told her that staying would lead to nothing productive, but she couldn't bring herself to walk away either. It was interesting, but quite confusing and annoying at the same time. And the way he didn't talk, she knew he had to be thinking of something, but she didn't even think she wanted to know what it was.

At the sound of her complaint Deloth pushed himself first onto his stomach, and as she complained further he stood reaching his full height above her. Well she was certainly a strange one complaining about the fact that he lowered himself to appear less imposing, but clearly she expected him to stand looking down at her so with a slight half-hearted shrug he spoke...
"Well m'dear, I am a large wolf and no matter how I am, Standing, sitting or laying I will always leave a large mark where I was. And I would have though you would have prefered that I have to look up to see you rather than look down...."
He gave a half-hearted sigh but still stood, the sky above slowly darkening and where on close inspection before the blue of his pelt could be seen it now became the shade known to night, black. The already dark blood red darkened more becoming barely seen but looking for it you could find it. He was intresting? Was that a bad thing or a good thing?
"M'lady, speaking truthfully, I am affraid I cant see what you find so intresting about me. Would you care to tell me what is so intresting about myself so I can try to avoid it in the future, I don't fancy being hunted because I am intresting" |
He spoke with little confusion, in fact where before there was something of intrest in his tone it had dulled slightly and now his tone was more relaxed rather than something that would uphold a good apperance, well it was easy to see she already thought lowly of him, or at least that is what she was begining to show and so thus he would not try his hardest to have a 'happy go lucky' apperance, and rather show the beast he really is. A demon of hate... The winds picked up from behind him as once before they had, this time they threw snow and dust at the two standing wolves, the snow melting as quickly as it landed on his pelt, leaving damp patches, and the dust would cling to where the snow had dampened. Was that storm coming or was this just the weather hating on them once more? Word Count;; 381For;; Calamity (Penny)Notes ....[/blockquote]
