few love like we do
Night was something she hated. Always. Throughout her years as a pup and into her current ones. The dark always held an awkward eerie calm about it; she didn't appreciate the inability to know what was behind the shadowy curtain. A sigh escaped her maw as she trotted forward in the forest, jumping with each unknown sound. Her stomach was doing flips, and she couldn't stand it.
An owl gave a cry to its mate in the darkness. She jumped, tripping over a root and falling into the brush nearby. Pain shot through her hindquarters as she tried to stand. It was too difficult. She couldn't pull herself to her paws.
"Dammit, this is ridiculous!" she swore loudly into the night. She felt weak, and ashamed that she had reacted so poorly to the situation. Usually she was very calm; usually she was very happy. It was a shame that the night had fallen on her in such a poor state.

The depths of the lively , positive forest seemed to mimic the male's personality, and it made him nauseous a few times, but he quickly got over it every time. His milk cocoa brown irises continued to scan through the undergrowth in search for something to eat, or play with. He was really irritated by the aspect of not finding anything to do today, other than hunting the stupid deer. Rounded ears pricked as something interesting came to his attention.
Flipping emotions sparked in the air like fireworks. No piece of prey would be intelligent enough to send such intricate signals flying through the sky...and no male that he had met so far would worry enough to actually feel it fluttering about like this. So it had to be a female wolf.
Fiasco's brain started working on a devious plan to meet this new addition to Tusrelle. Sniffing the air, he met the scent of definite female, and the wolf seemed on end. Did she know about him? Can she sense him around? It didn't matter. The only thing that changed was the fact that he had to make his appearance faster than he had planned.
With the aid of his lean, long body, he swiftly dashed across the forest, his muzzle open to keep track of where this female was heading. Not to fast, apparently, and making a whole lot of noise. It was almost like she wanted to be found. Oh well, her problem. Fiasco had absolutely no want to see what was bothering this she-wolf, but maybe distracting her might take her mind off of whatever's bothering the honey...he thought with double meaning, and smirked.
Finally, he spotted the girl. Her fur was sticking out, and even from behind he could see that she was frantically looking about; very jittery. Oh, the horror.
An owl hooted loudly, at she clumsily tripped over an upcoming root, and she fell forwards. This was the perfect chance to make a move.
She swore, and tried to stand back up. Chuckling to himself, he emerged slyly from the bushes, approaching the other wolf.
"Well, hello there darlin'. What seems to be on your mind?" He trotted up to her face, and put his straight in front of hers. He put a friendly smile, and his eyes reflected a warm gaze.

Surprised by the sudden smell of wolf, her head jerked up to lock eyes with the he-wolf's chocolaty ones. Her muzzle scrunched up as a growl boomed from her and she snapped at him, bolting several paces down the path before turning to look at him once again. Anger welled up inside of her. How dare he come up to her when she was in such a state! How dare he act as though it was okay for him to treat it like some form of damsel in distress situation! Who did he think he was?! Another growl slipped from her as she thought about the fact that he had seen her in such a weak state.
"What do you want, boy?" she asked, trying to sound a bit more aggressive in the hopes to scare him away. It was hard for her to do, seeing as how she had a very small voice which matched her equally small body. Her stance was low. She didn't trust this wolf. He seemed to confident in himself. It irritated her, despite her usually cheerful nature. If he had come in any other situation, she was sure he'd have been a good friend. She wouldn't be so mean. But this was different. No one had seen her like this before.

It never got old; messing around with wolves was the sole objective for Fiasco at the moment, and had been all of his life. There were surprises around every corner. But for this, it would be around every wolf. Ha, the irony.
After he spoke, she looked up in blunt shock. Still, she was pretty jumpy, but that's okay. Dr. Fiasco can fix that.
Only at first did she look crazy. But as he continued to watch her, she started to become angry. Oh boy, this was going to be fun.
Actually, she almost looked insulted; but again, things wouldn't change. Her unstable emotions at the moment would mean that she could barely keep one feeling alive for longer than a few minutes; that was a clear opening for this male. If she was scared, it would probably go away. If she became happy, odds are that it will fade. She can't concentrate as well, so if she tries to snap back, it will be horribly fake. Nothing can affect Fiasco.
A growl emitted from the she-wolf. She became furious; or at least, looked like she was. "What do you want, boy?!" Making a desperate effort to look aggresive, that was for sure. But swaying Fiasco would be a little harder than talking.
Terribly misplaced snaps and swings were launched at the slender male, and he swiftly dodged each blow. "Whoa, whoa, calm down little lady; I'm not here to fight ya." He reassured, watching as the wolf then sped off, away from him. Grinning coldly, he realized this might be a chase.
He simply continued to walk after the distressed female. He wasn't in a rush for anything, he would find her again if she managed to escape. Scents go into memory quickly for Fiasco. He sleekly padded up to the wolf again. Her stance was menacing, but it didn't crush the male's current objective. "Don't try to fight me, I promise you I won't even put up a claw." Calming the wolf would be the first thing that he needed to do. Holding his tail down low, and his ears half-flattened in pacifism.
Of course, it was all just a well hidden act.

Rei wasn't one to be easily conned by a pretty face; nevertheless, she seemed to calm down. The feelings of despair faded and she sat down, still cautious. His promises of pacifism didn't affect her and she leaned away, not interested in his voice. She didn't feel like arguing with him anymore. She felt like sleeping. She was exhausted.
"You're talking, but I don't really hear you, you know," she said flatly. Her eyes narrowed at him. He was far too confident in himself; it was almost as if he believed she was a little toy for him to enjoy himself with. She wasn't, and she wouldn't allow him to think that way for very long. She would much rather jump into the nearby river.
Slowly, she stood and began to trot in his direction, circling him while studying him closer. A scowl fell over her. "Ugly, aren't you," she mumbled, sitting in front of him directly to look back into his eyes.

His words seemed to work. The shewolf sat down, and he caught up with her and sat down a few tail-lengths away; ready to scoot in closer at any window of opportunity. His gaze was fixed on her eyes, trying to get her stare to pick up and meet his. But from what he could tell, her body language said 'tired'. She was hanging herself in a low, comfortable position. Not to mention she sat down in the first place, and set a slow pace when running away from him. He could care less, but he needed this information so he could look like he had sympathy. Actually, she surprised him again. She looked like she was about to dose off at any second. "You're talking, but I don't really hear you, you know," she retorted. Another surprise. Fiasco pretended to flinch at the impact, and he cocked his head. "I'm pretty sure I see two functioning ears, darlin'." He frowned, and put his nose at the base of her ear for about a heartbeat before retreating. She looked disgusted; wow, she really didn't like Fiasco. And how long have they seen each other? A few minutes? She circled him a few times in examination. "Ugly, aren't you." It wasn't a question, it was more of a declaration, a final summaration of him. It hit a raw nerve, and he felt the anger well up inside of him. All his life, he'd been fighting the fact that he wasn't as colorful, as muscled as all the other males. She had to state the obvious. Fiasco tried hard to conceal his frustration, only a few twitches left his inner body. "I'm sorry you feel that way." Nope, his act was crushed. Oh well, couldn't take the heat. He pushed closer to the female, and brushed her side against her shoulder. Expecting the worse, which would be her fighting with him. ---------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Please don't take any of this personally. xD WC: 278 Table (c) Labradollie 2009 Fiasco (c) Labradollie Image (c) Labradollie I will nom your hand off if you steal this or Fifi! A sigh rolled through her as he brushed near her. She was too exhausted to care, and treated it as though she didn't notice. No fighting tonight. Not with her, not with him. She lay down in silence. "Why are you still here? I'm too tired to talk to you," she said quietly, staring at the dirt. She wanted to sleep.
Sleep hadn't come easily these past few days for Rei. Nothing came easily. She had barely eaten to go along with her tired face. Her bones could be seen jutting from the thin skin that held her body together. Her joints ached, and gently shaked from the position that she was laying in.

She almost seemed dead to him. She was so exhausted, that she wouldn't even put up a fight with the naughty guy? A pretty overpowering factor on Fiasco's part. Basically, she collapsed to the ground and froze in a sleepy pace. Haha, maybe here head would even sway... "Why are you still here? I'm too tired to talk to you." It was almost if she had faded off. The words just fell out of her mouth, she didn't really mean anything with them. "Oh you are..." Just getting something out for her too hear, he thought out loud. Maybe just leaving her be so that he could have another-- oh, just forget it. Why bother tonight? He wasn't doing anything here anyways, he was just wasting his time. Wasting time sleeping as well, as his eyes felt a bit droopy as well. Not enough to make him fall asleep right there, but enough to get the message sent. Reluctantly, he stood up. "Another time, then..." he growled with annoyance. Looking back to the she-wolf every now and then, he slowly walked away. God, why did he do that? Just lost a perfectly good girl. Did his tiredness reign in the end, or was he losing his edge...? Damnit._________________________________________________________________ OOC: He's starting to lose interest, yay! WC: 207. She watched him, realizing that she didn't want to be alone. With difficulty, she pulled herself to her feet. "Wait...," she called weakly. She trotted up to him, quivering from the cold and fear. This time, she didn't trip and she seemed more confident. "My name is Sen. Do you mind if I come with you for a while?" she asked him, turning to face him slowly. Some of her lost radiance was coming back to her; she seemed much friendlier than she had before.
OOC: Sorry for the crappy shortness. I'll make a better one next time! I can change the loss of interest! Whoo! |

"Wait..." One simple word could lead to many different things. Language is oh so complex...but the most obvious one for an exhausted female would translate to 'turn around'. So he did. Curiosity bubbled through his veins. Usually, a wolf would want him dead and gone by now. Why would she have any more need for the male? "My name is Sen. Do you mind if I come with you for a while?" The same sentence rolled and rolled and rolled through his mind until it clicked. This female wanted to stay with him. Why would, in anyone's right mind, want to stay with such a disastrous wolf like himself? Sen seemed to be more confident in her words she was throwing out, although she had to have some second thoughts about not doing this...couldn't she? He wasn't used to this. Desperately trying to hide the shock in his face was harder than her thought. Somewhere deep down, pushed all the way back into his mind, he was supposed to say yes, and welcome her the same. But he wasn't taught that way growing up. Why am I even thinking of these kinds of things?! This she-wolf was giving him a run for his money. What was he supposed to say...? Never had he been in doubt before. Always, absolutely always did Fiasco have a decision made quickly. He had no feelings for this wolf, except for some admiration because she could actually make him stumble his thoughts. He shook his head, tossing the betraying thoughts out of his thick head. "Well well, what a surprise. The name's Fiasco." He turned his whole body to face Sen, narrowed gaze fixed on her eyes. Was she trying to pull something? Decision time. Decision time. Decision time. ...Decision time... "Whatever. Don't say I didn't warn you..." He barked gruffly, a half victory made at the choice of words he chose to say to the opposing wolf. 316.
