*FERRiSluzion ● ● male ● ● born june 18, 2007 ● ● four years ● ●
all around me are familiar faces ● ● The coat of our magnificent Ferris is a deliciously pure black. No other colors taint the dark canvas that is him, like a void in the sky devoid of stars. The body that it covers is not particularly unusual in any way: normal height, normal weight. His eyes, however, are blue points of light that pierce forth brilliantly.
When it rains, Ferris becomes even more unusual. Whenever his fur gets wet, it...changes. This unusual process seems to be the wolf version of rusting. At first, all appears normal, but the wetter it gets and the longer it's damp, the more it appears to change. Orange flecks begin to appear, and then spread. In fact, the more he rusts, the harder it is for him to move.
bright & early for the daily races ● ● To put it bluntly, Ferris has a total lack of faith in himself. Though he's clever and likes to get straight to the point, he hates to speak up because he thinks he'll end up getting himself into trouble. This just leads to the placebo effect: he thinks he'll screw everything up, so he does. He's constantly unsure of himself and tends to fumble over words, rocks, or pretty much anything in his path. It certainly doesn't help that when he gets wet, he needs something akin to an oil can. He's jumpy, frequently flying into panics whenever someone surprises him. Despite the whole clumsiness thing, he's very light on his feet when he's scared out of his mind.
Ferris would be pretty groundbreaking if he wasn't so fearful of his own self. Though he frequently has opinions and ideas and often is irritated easily, he fails to speak up and is thus labeled as "loyal," though he's really no more loyal than your average person. He mopes about most of the time, and has been told multiple times that he needs to cheer up. Because of this, he has convinced himself that he has a lack of emotion, and always feels bad when he so much as steps on some grass.
when people run in circles, it's a very very... ● ● Truth be told, Ferris' life is pretty uneventful. It's safe to guess that this is because he has a fear of doing most anything.
Naturally, it all started when he was born. Ferris was rather runty and pathetic, although it's not as if he had to battle for his mother's milk. He only had two other siblings. They frequently made fun of him for being, well - Ferris. This did nothing for his confidence (which was actually relatively normal back then). They frequently tripped him and made fun of his lisp (he's finally got over it, but back in his pup days, it was the cause of much of his grief). After a while they got a bit more stealthy about it, and he eventually became convinced that it was his fault.
When he was older, he fell for a particularly beautiful wolf named Trilly. Not only was she beautiful, but she was stupid. Strangely, her lack of brains wasn't discouraging to the rest of the boys in the pack. They frequently showed off to her, but her sadly lacking brain was unable to make a decision. Eventually, she declared that whoever won a race would be her mate.
Several other males lined up on the appointed day, all of them more impressive than Ferris, at least in his eyes. In truth, he's very quick, but by that time his confidence was shattered. During the race, he managed to pull ahead. For a moment, he was incredibly happy, but he began to worry that he would lose. Inches from the finish line, he stumbled and the other competitors flew past him. He was dead last.
Fed up and gloomy, Ferris left his pack and began to search for a new one.
mad world, mad world... ● ● HE WOULD MAKE A TERRIBLE LEADER.
Exactly why he SHOULD be one
