Turritella - A Semi-Realistic Wolf RPG
Many wolves are drawn to Turritella. It is a large, very beautiful terrain, that until recently had gone undiscovered. About a month after the wolves started arriving, a group of humans stumbled upon Turritella and decide to make it their home. They founded the city of Dariem, and because of the beautiful location of the city, it draws humans like water draws mosquitoes. The wolves could've probably found a way to tolerate the humans- since they didn’t venture out of Dariem very much- if it weren’t for the two things that they brought with them that have begun to disrupt the peace. The first thing the humans brought that the wolves found not to their taste was their dogs. They ran away, or they got lost, and they wandered into the wolf’s territories. Now, most of the Turritella wolves hadn’t had much experience with these domesticated canines, but they smelled of humans and so a wolf’s natural instinct was to not trust them. The second thing that the humans brought with them was the Disease. No one knows yet how the Disease is spread or exactly how the wolves got it, but what is known is that it came with the humans. Maybe it is their dogs; maybe it is something the humans are putting into their water… But however its spreading, it is deadly. First, it starts out as a simple cough and tiredness. Nothing that bad, and it isn’t very noticeable. Then, after about a week of this, it gets a bit worse. The cough becomes more constant, and the wolf tires very easily- hunting becomes difficult. In a matter of days, the symptoms become more life threatening. The wolf can hardly move because their body lacks the strength to do so. The coughing stops, but it becomes difficult to breathe, because their throats are closing off. Some wolves sleep almost constantly in this state; others cannot get to sleep at all. Often it is a mix of the two, alternating. About a week after reaching this stage, the wolf goes into a comatose state- a deep sleep that no one can wake them up from. They don’t move, other than the occasional involuntary movement. They stay like this either until they die or they get better. The Disease kills about half of the wolves that it infects. Will you be next? And what of the humans- what will happen if they begin hunting on the wolves’ territories? Are the dogs to be trusted, or are they source of the Disease?
We are very active, and friendly.
