For centuries they've thrived. They've maintained there self sufficiency without the help of anyone. They've established a hierarchy consisting of royals, and nobles. They've set up what some would call a monarchy. The three main families have all accepted this, after the one family took a successful chance on it. The leaders of the lands, they don't call themselves Kings or Queens. They call themselves Emperors and Empresses. Despite the trendsetting among families, they're all locked in a battle for the largest family. That and the affections of the ladies, which are thrown somewhere in the middle of all this. Almost every male is willing to sacrifice everything, even overthrowing his leader for the affections of the beautiful and rare Zaraphina. What are these creatures you ask? Equines, thriving in a word without humans. That race has been extinct for over 300 years.
