Why she pushed on through life the way she did, she did not know, why she bothered was more the question, life had no current goals for her, perhaps she would try and raise a pack, and yet that seemed so far from her reach that even thinking about it was as pointless as living. The thought of a family was worst, the thought of a mate, pups shortly after, death to follow that. Did life have any real reason, most that really knew her feared her and so she was never able to stay in the same place long, perhaps today would be different, and yet she so hoped it would not...
Huge paws slowly struck unforgiving earth as she pushed forward through the vegetation of the area and the trees soon broke to reveal the area that she searched for, or that she at least hoped to reach, this place was lonely and it was rare that you would find the same being twice in the same place. That is if you found anyone at all here, the island was empty to her eyes and ears, but she was not alone here, someone was here with her...
Reaching the edge of the water Amaris lowered her rump to the ground, black and silver fur gently shining in the sun, a natural shine due to her pelt being clean, blue and brown eyes looked down at her reflection while ears twitched trying to find the place where the stranger stood, the scar upon her body oh so evident still haunted her, those wolves were still out there, and though she did not fear them she currently could not be bothered with the trouble they once had caused her....

ooc; Hope you don't mind me joining (: kachina && when it's done, we will walk where the road meets the sun; Graceful was a descriptive word that had ever, or would ever, be applied to her. Kachina ambled through the forest path, making her way to the nearest source of water. Her large body made it impossible to prevent from snapping twigs or brushing up against plants as she moved; though if she really bothered she could probably been considered slightly stealthy. But her destination was not far off, she could smell the clear scent of mountain stream and freshly melted ice on the wind, and that clearly meant she didn't care whoever heard her walking through the forest. And she knew someone else was around, she could smell them.
However, Kachina found the idea of being able to discern whether someone was a friend or foe from a simple smell was absurd; and she decided to give the stranger the benefit of the doubt. Crashing through an opening in the forest, she felt her gaze riveted on the masterpiece that was croaker creek; she made a mental note that creek was an inappropriate term to place upon the location. Her appreciation for croaker river was interrupted by the realization that the stranger was only a few yards away from her current position. She glanced to her left and eyed up the other wolf, without a stitch of propriety in her gaze.
The other wolf was a heevlane, like herself; although one that was slightly larger than she. The wolf was also female, well-built and sturdy enough to impress Kachina, which was a feat she could assure you. The females mottled silver and black pelt was a shocking contrast to Kachina's lively yellow pelt, and her duo-colored eyes were very captivating. Kachina made a mental note of the females heavily scarred body, meaning she either lost fights often or just simply fought against well-matched foes often, she assumed the latter of course. Kachina kept an easygoing, yet guarded, stance; thinking best not to pick a fight immediately. She offered a calculating, lop-sided grin and spoke in a rough, teasing tone, "Hey stranger." Although the smirk remained, Kachina's indigo eyes remained studious and unblinking.

Though many sounds raged against her hearing she focused on the coming stranger, the sound of twigs giving way under large paws, the sound of bush being shoved aside by the larger being that approached. Though she did not move she knew when the stranger broke through the treeline for most of the sounds of one approaching ceaced, had the other stopped or were they able to silence there stride...
Turning slowly to face the stranger, mismatched eyes first deciding that she herself was the larger here, and so therefore had no imediate reason to take this new comer as the threat, rather she would stand on guard and expectant for attack, but would not first cause it...
She kept on her paws for now, though her stance did not say 'fight' markings and build prehaps, but for now anyway she did not intend for a fight... Looking over the other female for few moments more the words spoken for a fair time ignored, but not through ignorance, but rather through observation of the other, sum up the threat then speak...
"It is not always liked to be considered the stranger, for I do beleive you here are the stranger between us, but unless you show me harm I will show none to you..."
Once the peace had been settled you could relax a little, prehaps talk to the other, find something about them out... Find out if they are of any imediate threat to yourself, and yet this female for now showed no agression and so would be shown none in return..
"Does a name own you?" |
The first and most simple of questions, once you knew the others name you would then be able to find a more peacefull conversation, if that is what you wished for, but if you wished for war then knowing the others name would allow you to curse them....[/blockquote][/blockquote]

kachina && you can say what you mean, but it won't change a thing. Kachina’s brow quirked instinctively, indicating her slight impatience with her comment going unacknowledged. She decided to keep her mouth shut, thinking better of snapping at the first stranger she met at Tusrelle. And so she waited, under the close scrutiny of the stranger who was eyeing her up with the slightest hint of apprehension. Kachina couldn’t really blame her in the slightest, it was smart for a wolf to consider a stranger a potential foe rather than a friend. Furthermore given the strangers scarred figure, Kachina assumed she must have had a rough go about it in the past. Lost in her thoughts and considerations, she almost didn’t hear the stranger speak; ear perked up to ensure she heard the sound properly.
The strange female spoke with a cautious intelligence, gently testing the waters. Kachina’s smirk spread to a wide, amused smile; but the harshness began to fade from her indigo gaze. As a show of temporary trust, Kachina relaxed onto her hindquarters and looked at the stranger in a more friendly, thoughtful manner. She’d decided that fighting this female wouldn’t result in a good feeling of accomplishment, she felt the possibility of quite liking her.
“We cannot always be considered what we like.” Kachina countered, her husky cords speaking in a tone that was lightly teasing, not challenging in the slightest. She studied the stranger for a moment, waiting for an irritated reaction. She paused thoughtfully, before adding an answer to the females last question, “Name’s Kachina, what..er..name owns you?” The question was spoken in an awkward tone, what with her not being used to saying things so formally. However, she had no desire to offend or annoy the stranger with crude or potentially disrespectful forms of speaking; so repeating the strangers question was clearly the only solution.

The stranger seemed almost as daring as she, and like herself the other spoke truth with intelegence, she gave the apperance of knowing or at least understanding. As the other relaxed slightly to rest on her hind quaters she too felt the need to show at least some small form of trust, so slowly lowering her rump to the ground the dark female chose not to remove her eyes from the currently nameless stranger, once named you are less the stranger.
"That is true, life is never what you wish it to be, and so therefore what others see in you may not be something you like or see..."
A riddle was how she had been explained, those she spoke to said she was a riddle in a black box which perhaps was true. But it gave no reason for others to fear her let alone like her. The stranger named herself as Kachina so in turn she would speak her own name, at least to show some form of friendship.
"I was named Amaris. Have you found reason to your life, or are you still lost?" |
A confusing cuestion that in few less words could have been Do you live alone but she had her own way of speaking to others, and so therefore that would be all you got from her... Giving a slight sideways bow of her head, at least one eye always rested on the other through little trust....[/blockquote][/blockquote]
